Freelvy, Apollo, Lusha, RocketReach, UpLead, Hunter, Snov.io and Prospeo sell B2B contact data on monthly plans that you can cancel before the next cycle.
Key takeaways
- On official prices read on September 27, 2026, monthly entry plans for B2B contact data start at $39 on Snov.io and RocketReach and reach $99 on UpLead Essentials.
- The billable unit differs by tool. Apollo charges 8 credits for a phone number, Lusha 5 and Freelvy 15 for a verified phone, while one UpLead credit returns a contact with email and mobile.
- Several tools do not bill a failed lookup. Hunter does not charge a search that finds nothing, RocketReach refunds a lookup with no verified result, and Freelvy never bills a row that fails verification.
- Credits behave differently at the end of the month. Apollo's expire each billing cycle, while Lusha's monthly Pro and Premium credits carry forward up to twice the monthly allowance, per their pages read on September 27, 2026.
- Annual billing saves 24 to 25 percent on Apollo, Lusha and Snov.io in September 2026, but UpLead asks for 60 days' notice before an annual plan renews.
Which B2B data tools bill monthly with no annual contract?
Eight tools sell contact data on a plan you can stop at the end of any month. Freelvy, Apollo, Lusha, RocketReach, UpLead, Hunter, Snov.io and Prospeo all publish a monthly price. They differ on three things that matter more than the sticker. Those are the unit they bill, what happens to unused credits, and how you leave.
Every row uses monthly billing and the cheapest paid plan. All competitor prices were read on the vendors' official pricing pages on September 27, 2026. Hunter quotes euros, so its row is not converted.
| Option | Price |
|---|---|
| Snov.io Starter | $39/month |
| RocketReach Essentials | $39/month |
| Freelvy Starter | €49/month |
| Prospeo Starter | $49/month |
| Lusha Starter | $49.90/month |
| Apollo Basic | $65/month |
| UpLead Essentials | $99/month |
For one user, the entry plans sit between $39 and $99. The gap widens as you add people. Apollo, RocketReach and Prospeo bill every seat, Lusha Starter and UpLead Essentials cover one user, while Freelvy includes unlimited team members and Snov.io unlimited seats.
What does one monthly plan actually buy?
A monthly price means little until you divide it by what it returns. On entry plans, an email costs from about $0.025 on Prospeo to $0.58 per contact on UpLead, by our arithmetic. Phone numbers change the ranking, because most tools charge several credits for one.
Unit price is only half the story. A cheap email that bounces costs you a sending domain. The other half is whether a failed lookup is billed. Hunter, RocketReach, Prospeo and Freelvy do not charge for a miss, so their real cost stays close to the table.

Freelvy, the list, the contacts and the sequence in one monthly plan
Freelvy bills monthly with no lock-in, and it bills only verified rows. For a founder who prospects between client work, that removes the risk of paying for a year of unused seats.

Freelvy is our product. It is an AI sales platform you use the way you use ChatGPT or Claude. You describe the customer you want in one prompt. Freelvy searches 40+ live sources at query time, including maps, official company registries, job boards, storefronts and ad libraries, instead of filtering a stored database.
Best for founders and business owners who want search, enrichment and sequencing in one thread, on a monthly plan.
Strengths. Every row is enriched through 23 email providers and 13 phone providers in cascade. The waterfalls find and verify more than 92% of emails and find more than 90% of phone numbers. A row that fails verification is never delivered and never billed. A verified email costs 3 credits and a verified phone 15. Team members are unlimited on every plan. The sequencer is unlimited and sends from your own Google or Microsoft mailbox, so sending is not billed per email. Buying signals such as hiring, funding, reviews and ads, and scheduled briefs, sit in the same place. See how contact data is verified and billed.
Price. €49 a month for 1,500 credits on Starter, €179 for 6,000 on Pro and €499 for 18,000 on Max. Plans are monthly with no lock-in. Free 7-day trial, no credit card, at freelvy.com.
Freelvy isn't for teams that would rather pay one tool for the data, another for enrichment and a third for sending.
1. Apollo, a large database billed per seat each month
Apollo sells a monthly seat at $65 on Basic, with 2,500 credits a month. It is the broadest bundle here, but credits expire each cycle and every user needs a seat.
Best for a small team that wants the contact database and a sequencer under one license.
Strengths. Basic costs $65 and Professional $99 per seat per month on monthly billing, with 2,500 and 4,000 credits a month, per Apollo's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. Searching is free, and credits are spent when you reveal or export. A free plan and a 14-day trial let you test first. Our Apollo pricing breakdown works through the credits.
Limits. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, per Apollo's credits page read on September 27, 2026. The same page says credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, including at renewal. Apollo's plan management guide says a cancellation is scheduled for the end of the cycle. Apollo's terms state that subscription fees are non-refundable. Organization is annual only.
Price. $65 to $99 per seat per month on monthly billing, or $49 to $119 on annual billing.
2. Lusha, monthly credits that carry forward
Lusha carries unused monthly credits forward on its Pro and Premium plans, up to a cap. Starter costs $49.90 a month for 400 credits and one seat, and its credits do not carry forward.
Best for a founder or rep who looks up contacts one at a time from a browser extension.
Strengths. Starter costs $49.90 and Pro $69.90 a month on monthly billing, per Lusha's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. A free plan gives 40 credits a month. On monthly Pro and Premium, unused credits carry forward up to twice the monthly allowance. Pro includes two seats.
Limits. A phone number costs 5 credits against 1 for an email, so 400 credits buy 80 phones. Starter credits do not carry forward. Lusha's cancellation guide says stored credits reset when the account drops to the free plan, and CSV export is a paid feature. Export your lists before the plan ends.
Price. $49.90 to $399.90 a month on monthly billing, or $37.45 to $299.95 on annual billing, which Lusha shows as 25 percent off.
3. RocketReach, a low seat price with a refunded miss
RocketReach costs $39 per seat a month on Essentials, for 100 lookups and emails only. A lookup that finds no verified email or phone is refunded.
Best for a founder who needs occasional lookups and wants to stop paying the month he stops prospecting.
Strengths. Essentials costs $39, Pro $79 and Ultimate $169 per seat on monthly billing, per RocketReach's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. A lookup with no verified result is refunded, per its FAQ. RocketReach's help center says you can cancel anytime from your account, with no minimum contract period.
Limits. Monthly plans cap lookups at 100, 250 and 1,000 a month, and Essentials covers emails only. Its help center article on monthly plans says lookup credits stay valid for up to 12 months, but only while the subscription is active. Its cancellation article adds that unused credits expire when the paid period ends.
Price. $39 to $169 per seat per month on monthly billing, or $19 to $115 on annual billing.
4. UpLead, one credit for a full contact
UpLead charges one credit for a contact with both email and mobile, so a calling list costs the same as an email list. Essentials costs $99 a month for 170 credits.
Best for a founder who calls as much as he emails and wants a small, predictable allowance.
Strengths. Essentials costs $99 and Plus $199 a month on monthly billing, per UpLead's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. One credit unlocks a contact with email and mobile. A 7-day trial includes 5 credits. UpLead's help center says monthly plans carry no long-term commitment.
Limits. Allowances are small, at 170 credits on Essentials and 400 on Plus. UpLead's help center says a paused account keeps its unused credits, on a Hibernation Plan at $2 a month, while closing the account loses them. The contract page asks for 60 days' notice to cancel an annual plan. Professional is annual only.
Price. $99 to $199 a month on monthly billing, or $74 to $149 on annual billing.
5. Hunter, email finding that skips failed searches
Hunter bills one credit per email found and does not charge a search that finds nothing. Starter costs €49 a month for 2,000 credits.
Best for a founder who works from a list of company domains and needs verified work emails.
Strengths. Starter costs €49, Growth €149 and Scale €299 a month, per Hunter's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. A verification costs half a credit. Team members are unlimited and share the credits. A free plan gives 50 credits a month.
Limits. Hunter's help center says monthly credits reset at the end of each billing period. After a cancellation, you keep the paid plan until the period ends, and unused subscription credits are lost. Extra credit packs stay valid for three months. The pricing page lists no phone numbers.
Price. €49 to €299 a month on monthly billing, or €34 to €209 on annual billing.
6. Snov.io, credits that stay while the plan runs
Snov.io keeps unused credits on a monthly plan for as long as the plan stays active. Starter costs $39 for 1,000 credits, with unlimited seats.
Best for a small team that wants data, verification and sequences on one plan, with no seat count.
Strengths. Starter costs $39 a month for 1,000 credits, Pro S $99 for 5,000 and Pro M $189 for 20,000, per Snov.io's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. One credit pays for a prospect or an email verification. Snov.io's knowledge base says unused credits carry to the next month while a monthly plan stays active.
Limits. Its cancellation guide says you keep premium features until the paid period ends, then unused credits and recipients expire. Phone numbers come through a separate enrichment subscription.
Price. $39 to $189 a month on the plans above, with 25 percent off on annual billing.
7. Prospeo, nothing billed when nothing is found
Prospeo charges one credit per email found and none when no email comes back. Its entry plan costs $49 per seat a month for 2,000 credits.
Best for a founder who finds emails in bulk and wants misses to cost nothing.
Strengths. Starter costs $49 and Growth $99 per seat a month on monthly billing, with 2,000 and 5,000 credits a month, per Prospeo's pricing page read on September 27, 2026. The same page prices an email at 1 credit, none when no email is found, and a mobile number at 10. A free plan gives 100 credits a month.
Limits. Credits reset at each renewal and do not carry forward, per its pricing FAQ. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle, and the account then returns to the free plan.
Price. From $49 per seat a month on monthly billing, with 25 percent off on annual billing.
What should you check in a data contract before you sign?
Check five clauses. Those are the term and its notice period, what counts as a billable row, what happens to unused credits, who counts as a seat, and what you keep after you leave. Monthly self-serve plans answer most of these on the pricing page. Annual quotes put them in the order form.
The notice period. Annual data contracts usually renew themselves, and the notice you must give sits in the contract. UpLead's help center, for one, asks for 60 days' notice before an annual plan renews. Put the date in a calendar on signature day.
The billable row. Ask whether a lookup that returns nothing is charged. Ask the same for a bounced email and for a contact you reveal twice. Hunter, RocketReach and Freelvy answer this on their public pages.
Unused credits. A credit that expires is a price increase in a slow month. Apollo's credits expire each cycle. Lusha's monthly Pro and Premium credits carry up to twice the allowance. Snov.io's carry while the plan stays active.
Seats. Per-seat pricing grows with every person who opens the tool once a week. Ask whether a seat can be moved between people without a new fee.
Exit and exports. Ask what you can download after cancelling. Lusha, for one, makes CSV export a paid feature, so export before the plan ends.
For founders who have never read an order form, ZoomInfo's license terms show the annual model in plain words. The agreement is not cancellable and runs until it expires.
Who should stay on an annual contract?
Stay annual if your volume is steady and you would spend the allowance anyway. Annual billing takes about a quarter off on several tools. It also grants a year of credits upfront on Apollo, which helps a team that prospects in bursts. Leave annual if your usage is uneven or unproven.
The discount is real. Apollo advertises 24 percent off for annual billing, and Lusha and Snov.io 25 percent. On UpLead, $74 against $99 a month is 25 percent less, by our arithmetic. RocketReach Essentials drops from $39 to $19 a month, about half.
An annual Apollo Basic seat also carries 30,000 credits for the year, granted upfront. A team that runs one large campaign a quarter can spend them unevenly, which a monthly allowance does not allow.
Stay monthly if you are testing outbound for the first time. The same goes if your prospecting stops during delivery-heavy months. It also holds if you have not yet measured how many contacts you really use each month. In those cases, the discount pays for credits you may never spend.

How we verified
On September 27, 2026, we read the official pricing pages of Apollo, Lusha, RocketReach, UpLead, Hunter, Snov.io and Prospeo, Apollo's credits page, and the help-center, knowledge-base and terms pages on cancellation and credits cited in each section. Costs per email and per phone, and the annual discounts on UpLead and RocketReach, are our own arithmetic.
FAQ
Can I buy B2B contact data without a subscription?
Yes, most tools sell it on a monthly plan you can cancel. Apollo, Lusha, RocketReach, UpLead, Hunter, Snov.io and Prospeo publish monthly prices from $39 to $99 for their entry plans. Freelvy starts at €49 a month with no lock-in. Hunter also sells credit packs, which stay valid for three months.
Do unused data credits expire?
It depends on the tool. Apollo's credits expire at the end of each billing cycle. Hunter's monthly credits reset each period. Lusha's monthly Pro and Premium credits carry up to twice the monthly allowance. Snov.io keeps them while the monthly plan stays active. Prospeo's reset at each renewal, per its pricing FAQ.
Which tools do not charge for a failed lookup?
Hunter does not charge a search that finds nothing. RocketReach refunds a lookup that returns no verified email or phone. Prospeo charges no credit when no email is found, per its pricing page. Freelvy never delivers or bills a row that fails verification. Ask any other vendor before you buy.
Which tool is cheapest for phone numbers on a monthly plan?
On entry plans, UpLead charges one credit for a contact with email and mobile, about $0.58 each. Apollo Basic works out at about $0.21 per phone, at 8 credits each. Lusha Starter costs about $0.62 per phone, at 5 credits. Freelvy charges 15 credits per verified phone. These are our own calculations.
How do I cancel a data subscription without losing my lists?
Export before the plan ends. Most tools keep access until the end of the paid period, then drop you to a free plan. Lusha makes CSV export a paid feature, and Snov.io's unused credits expire when the plan ends. Apollo schedules the cancellation for the end of the cycle and does not refund fees.
Is annual billing worth it for B2B data?
Only when your volume is steady. Annual billing saves 24 percent on Apollo and 25 percent on Lusha and Snov.io. It locks you in for twelve months, and UpLead asks for 60 days' notice before an annual renewal. A founder testing outbound gets more from a monthly plan he can stop.
